Pacific Rod & Gun Club

The Stags invite you back to a very special dining and sporting experience at the Pacific Rod & Gun Club. This vine, field, and sea-to-table event will highlight seasonal ingredients from the Bay Area. In addition to this sportsman’s-inspired meal, you will have the opportunity to shoot a round of skeet with shotguns guided by experts who are trained in firearm safety. For novice shooters, this will be a great introduction to the sport and a chance to rediscover a magical place that is integral to San Francisco’s sportsman heritage. This picturesque setting has hosted generations of sportsmen such as Ernest Hemingway, who would drop in for a round whenever he came to San Francisco. We are thrilled to bring back our most popular destination for a lovely Sunday outing on April 21st.

Joining us again will be our hunting buddy and independent winemaker, Chris Christensen. Chris is the assistant winemaker at Medlock Ames who will be showcasing new selections and interesting expressions of Sauvignon Blanc from his private label, Bodkin Wines. We are also pleased to host independent winemakers from Tobey Lane Vineyards who will be serving some of their Alexander Valley wines to compliment this splendid outing.

Enjoy carved prosciutto, cheeses, and fruits while having the chance to shoot a round of skeet.

Club House Social

After the guns are checked and safely stored away, you can enjoy a cold draft after your round of shooting and learn about the history of the Pacific Rod & Gun Club.

The Main Event: Winemakers Feast

Chefs Jordan Grosser and Ted Fleury have developed a sportsman’s-inspired dinner program. Dinner will be served as a family-style feast.
