"The kitchen is where I always wanted to be. Whether it was helping my mother or grandmothers make a pie, canning things from the garden, or just spending quality time and cooking for those I love."
After completing a BS in Environmental Policy and Management and a BA in Latin American Cultural Studies at The Ohio State University, Katie moved from Ohio to Los Angeles where she began her professional cooking career, working under Chef Ray Garcia. She then continued on to San Francisco and spent time working for Michelin starred Chef Val Cantu and Chef Dominique Crenn before being introduced to the founders of Stag Dining. Katie's background and love of the environment aligns with many of the values and practices at Stag Dining. In her free time, she enjoys cooking with friends and traveling whenever possible!
