Matthew Homyak
President, Co-Founder
Matthew Homyak started his career working for the underground hip hop culture publication Subculture Magazine while in high school. After graduating from University of San Francisco he worked in luxury retail management at Tiffany & Co. in Chicago, Manhattan and San Francisco. His tenure at the storied luxury firm instilled the values of craftsmanship, guest experience, design and sustainable sourcing.
Matthew later obtained an MBA at Presidio Graduate School and developed a passion for sustainable business with a focus on renewable energy, electric vehicles and organic food. During his time at Presidio he consulted on a range of projects including sustainable track management for NASCAR and Coca-Cola, Marketing for Mission Motors when the company broke the land speed record for electric motorcycles at Bonneville in 2009, and operations and strategy for an electromagnetic freezing technology firm in Alaska to preserve the Alaskan salmon run and assist Native Alaskan communities for resource optimization and economic development.
Starting Stag with Jordan and Ted offered Matthew the opportunity to bring all of his passions together: design, craftsmanship and sustainability and above all connecting people to social and environmental issues through food and experience. Being able to share this passion with clients and developing a dynamic team is the motivation that drives the organization and him personally and professionally.
