Rivian San Francisco Eclectic & Electric Grand Opening.

Iconic vehicles captivate our imagination with their evocative designs and the promise of reliable performance, safety, and style, transporting us to our desired destinations. Stag Dining Group feels honored when companies that share our ideals invite us to collaborate and curate culinary experiences that reflect this synchronicity. So, when we received the call from Rivian, we were excited to cater the grand opening of their new showroom and service center in Hayes Valley, San Francisco.

For this special occasion, we crafted a dining experience centered on local produce with an animal-free menu. We rolled out our trusty cocktail cart, which featured our signature carefully crafted barrel-aged Negroni alongside drinks that pay homage to San Francisco’s rich cocktail history (hello Tommy’s Margarita!). We also highlighted local winemakers dedicated to dry farming and sustainable practices. Our ongoing support of regenerative farming though Zero Food Print resonated with Rivian, aligning with their commitment to environmental stewardship.

Rivian unveiled their Camp Kitchen grill, designed to plug directly into the truck's electrical supply, fitting seamlessly on the tailgate. We eagerly accepted the request to showcase the grill with delicious tailgate tacos, serving a line of guests that extended down the block. Notably, among the attendees was the new Mayor of San Francisco, Daniel Lurie, who gave a keynote address to extend a warm welcome to Rivian.

The weekend's events included a Rivian Club Caravan through the city’s world renowned Lombard Street, community hikes through Golden Gate National Recreation Area, a group bike ride led by Olympian and world champion cyclist Kate Courtney with and a Tri-Motor Challenge in partnership with Strava. All roads led back to the stunning 1920s auto body building that Rivian has tastefully updated in Hayes Valley which led as backdrop for musicians, entertainers, and thousands of enthusiastic attendees drawn to the legendary power and iconic design of this made-in-the-USA upstart.

It’s clear that when it comes to grand openings, Rivian knows how to LAUNCH.
